Football fans are set for another nostalgic El Clasico as Real Madrid and Barcelona legends face off in Japan on December 15, 2024, just weeks after their latest La Liga meeting.

Real Madrid’s squad will feature club greats including Iker Casillas, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Steve McManaman, Ivan Campo and Julio Baptista.

Barcelona, meanwhile, will be represented by legendary figures such as Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Rivaldo, Javier Mascherano, Rafa Marquez and Bojan Krkic.

The encounter will mark the fourth instalment of the Legends El Clasico series. Barcelona claimed a 3-2 victory in the inaugural meeting in 2017 before Real Madrid responded with a 3-2 win in 2021, adding another chapter to one of football’s greatest rivalries.

One of the biggest attractions of the event will be Andres Iniesta, who recently announced his retirement from professional football. The former Barcelona midfielder is expected to make an emotional return in what has been dubbed his “Last Dance.”

The occasion is particularly meaningful for the 40-year-old, who spent five successful years in Japan with Vissel Kobe, making his return to Tokyo in Barcelona colours even more special for local supporters.

The legends showdown is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 p.m. local time, giving fans around the world another opportunity to relive one of football’s most iconic rivalries.
