Paulo Dybala has agreed terms on a new contract with AS Roma, reaffirming his commitment to the Italian club by accepting a reduced salary to remain at the Stadio Olimpico.

The agreement includes a one-year extension until 2027, with an option to extend the deal for a further season until 2028. The new contract reflects Dybala’s desire to continue competing in the UEFA Champions League with Roma despite interest from other clubs.

Earlier towards the end of the 2025/26 season, Softfootball reported that Dybala had given no indication he intended to leave on a free transfer, choosing instead to remain fully focused on helping Roma finish the campaign strongly. His latest decision confirms that long-standing commitment.

Since arriving from Juventus in 2022, the Argentine forward has become one of Roma’s most influential players. Although injuries have disrupted parts of his time in the Italian capital, Dybala has consistently delivered moments of quality and remains a fan favourite thanks to his creativity, vision, and leadership.

The contract extension also highlights the strong relationship between the player and the club, with Dybala prioritising stability and Roma’s long-term project over more lucrative opportunities elsewhere.

Keeping the World Cup winner represents a major boost for Roma as they prepare for another season of domestic and European competition, with the experienced forward expected to remain a central figure in the club’s ambitions.
