Manchester City have taken further steps in their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson after holding another round of talks with the club as negotiations continue over a potential record-breaking transfer.

City remain determined to land the 23-year-old England international and have submitted multiple high-value proposals, including a £106 million guaranteed offer plus £15 million in add-ons.

Reports indicate that the overall package could rise between £106 million and £120 million with additional bonuses, as Forest demand a fee that could become a British record.

Earlier this month, Softfootball reported that City had increased their efforts by presenting a major bid for Anderson, highlighting the midfielder as one of their top priorities in the current transfer window.

Anderson’s performances for Nottingham Forest have attracted significant attention, with his technical quality, energy, and versatility making him a strong fit for City’s midfield plans. The Premier League champions view him as a long-term investment capable of strengthening the squad.

Manchester City are also interested in Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto, with incoming manager Enzo Maresca reportedly keen on a reunion with his former player.

The pursuit of Anderson remains active, with Manchester City continuing negotiations as they look to complete another major addition and reinforce their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
