Lookman scored two goals and provided one assist in September. He was on target and also assisted in Atalanta’s 3-2 home victory over Fiorentina.

The forward later scored again from the penalty spot, although Atalanta suffered a surprise 3-2 home defeat against Como.

His contributions helped Atalanta record one win, two draws, and one defeat in their four matches during the month.

So far this season, Lookman has scored two goals and provided one assist in four Serie A appearances.

He has also impressed in the UEFA Champions League, where he has one goal and one assist in two matches.

Lookman is also in contention for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award and remains the only African player included in the final shortlist.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old is currently with the Super Eagles as they prepare for the second leg of their 2025 AFCON qualifying double-header against Libya.

Nigeria won the first leg 1-0 in Uyo, thanks to a late goal from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
