AS Roma are considering a January move for Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina as they look to strengthen their full-back options.
Softfootball mentioned that Aina was delighted after extending his contract with Nottingham Forest, a decision that showed his commitment to the Premier League club. However, interest from Roma has now placed his future back in the spotlight ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Italian club are searching for a new full-back to provide competition for Zeki Celik, while Saud Abdulhamid is still working to fully settle into life at Roma.

Aina signed a one-year contract extension with Nottingham Forest during the summer, but his current deal is still expected to run out next summer. Because of that, Roma believe the Nigeria international could be available for a reduced fee in January.
Reports suggest Roma may need between €12m and €15m to secure Aina’s signature, although Nottingham Forest are also hoping to keep him and tie him down to a longer contract.
Aina is no stranger to Italian football, having previously played for Torino. During his time with the Serie A club, he made 113 appearances, scored two goals, and provided seven assists.
His experience in Italy could make him an attractive option for Roma, especially as they look for a reliable and versatile defender.
For now, Forest remain keen to keep Aina, but Roma’s interest could test their resolve when the January transfer window opens.
