Considering the growing calls for Florentino Pérez to resign as president of Real Madrid CF, reports reaching Softfootball suggest he has no intention of stepping down and will instead call for elections at the club.
The pressure follows a difficult 2025/26 season for Real Madrid, with the club crashing out of the UEFA Champions League and also failing to win any major trophy during the campaign.

To make matters worse, the reported dressing room altercation involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde also became public despite Pérez reportedly believing the issue should never have leaked outside the club.
Florentino Pérez is said to believe there are organised campaigns against his presidency at Real Madrid, although he reportedly insists he remains fully committed to working day and night for the club.

Despite the recent criticism, Pérez remains one of the most successful presidents in Real Madrid history, having reportedly won 37 football titles during his time leading the club.
Pérez is also prepared to contest for re-election if elections are officially announced, maintaining that his objective remains defending the interests of Real Madrid members and continuing the club’s long-term project.
