Real Madrid continued their winning run with a 2–1 victory over Deportivo Alavés, a match that quickly sparked mixed reactions online after the club posted the result on their official X handle. While the scoreline suggested control, fans focused more on the performance, late moments, and overall consistency of the team.

Softfootball understands the growing debate among supporters, especially as results continue to come with questions about style and stability.

One fan, Ikenga, pointed out the way the match unfolded and how Real Madrid managed to secure the win despite late tension:

Sponsored post tag at the end. Writing around the actual result though Mbappé and Vini doing the work then Alavés pulling one back in stoppage time to make it nervy. Real Madrid finding ways to win even when it gets uncomfortable.

Another supporter, Denison, reacted more critically, comparing the team’s current form to Arsenal’s recurring struggles:

Real Madrid is becoming like Arsenal. Next year is our year but don’t forget that we’re still shit.

There were also concerns about attacking balance and squad structure from fans like B Happy, who questioned personnel choices:

Mbappé out of this club abeg… striker dey drag with winger chai. Camavinga also out. That Argentina guy also out.

Defensive worries were also highlighted by Ali, who focused on the team’s inability to keep control late in games:

So can’t keep a clean sheet…

Negrira added to the frustration, suggesting the performance was far from convincing despite the result:

“We’re lucky to get this win. Shit performance.”

Professor gave a more detailed breakdown, criticizing the lack of intensity and creativity in the display, while still acknowledging one positive individual performance:

Pedestrian again… we do the bare minimum, no zest, lack of intentional effort, just anyhow, lazy and scattered. We’re lucky it’s Alavés, if it was a better team they’d have scored more and put us in trouble. I do feel bad for Lunin cause he actually had a decent game.

The result also comes shortly after other inconsistent performances, including a frustrating draw against Girona and a hard fought win over Mallorca, further fueling debate among supporters about form, control, and consistency.

Despite the criticism, Real Madrid continue to grind out results, but fan reactions show a growing divide between results on paper and performances on the pitch.
