Lionel Messi has officially acquired Spanish third-division club UE Cornellà, marking his first major step into European club ownership, Softfootball reports.

This development comes shortly after Messi scored the first-ever goal at Inter Miami’s new stadium and was also honored by Inter Miami CF with a stadium stand named after him a rare recognition for an active player.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed this new development on his official x handle saying Catalunya based club will be owned by Leo Messi for its 100%.
