Andorra are hoping to avoid an unwanted record when they meet England on Saturday in the 2026 World Cup qualifier, Softfootball reports.
The Three Lions are currently placed fourth in the world on the FIFA ranking while the minnows are ranked 153 and are yet to score against the English side after seven meetings. Maybe this is this reason why former England international John Terry said modern football is boring.

But they would draw confidence from their last meeting against England where it took a Harry Kane goal to separate the two sides in a 1-0 victory for the Three Lions. Andorra would seek to score for the first time against England as they would want to match their previous record of not scoring in 15 competitive matches.
Match Stats
England are yet to concede a goal against Andorra and have won all seven of their encounters.
England have won all three home matches against Andorra by an aggregate score of 15-0. They and Iceland are the only countries the Three Lions have faced that often without conceding a goal.
England are unbeaten in their last 34 World Cup qualifiers, winning26 and drawing eight since a 1-0 loss at Ukraine in October 2009. At home, they’re unbeaten in their last 30 (W27 D3) since losing 1-0 to Germany in their final game at the old Wembley in October 2000.
Interestingly, Andorra have not scored in 14 competitive matches, drawing two and losing 12 since an Albert Rosas goal against Israel in June 2023, a run of 21 hours and 38 minutes without finding the net. If they fail to score against England on Saturday, it would be their second run of 15 games without a competitive goal after the run they had between 2010 and 2013.
Villa Park will be hosting England for the first time in international football since a goalless draw against Netherlands in February 2005. At this ground, The Three Lions have won four of their nine games there (D4 L1), their lowest win ratio on a home ground they’ve played more than three games at (44.4 per cent).
Andorra have previously faced countries ranked inside the top 20 in the world in about 46 matches and have lost all the matches by an aggregate score of 168-5.
England are currently ranked fourth in the FIFA World Rankings, guess it would be another whitewash on the cards.
Harry Kane is hoping to score in six consecutive appearances for England for a fourth time, something only achieved six times by all other players in England’s history. The Bayern Munich forward has been involved in 54 goals in 38 qualifying matches for major tournaments like the EUROS and World Cup, scoring 43 and assisting eleven.
Meanwhile, AC Milan midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is delighted to be back in the England national team set-up and to have the opportunity of working with former manager, Thomas Tuchel, who is currently in-charge of the Three Lions.
England shared a video of his interview on their official X handle. Watch below:
