Earlier, Softfootball reported that head coach Eric Chelle made two major changes to the starting line-up compared to the team that defeated Tanzania 2–1 in the opening group match. Among the notable tactical adjustments:
- Bruno Onyemaechi and Frank Onyeka were named in the starting XI
- Samuel Chukwueze was dropped from the starting lineup
These changes underline Chelle’s intent to add balance and control as Nigeria targets another positive result.
Heading into today’s fixture, the Super Eagles sit second in Group C after their opening win over Tanzania. Tunisia currently top the group on goal difference, following their 3–1 victory against Uganda in Matchday 1.
With qualification within reach, Nigeria will be hoping the tactical tweaks and match readiness shown in the warm-up translate into a strong performance against the Tunisians.
