The Super Eagles of Nigeria have completed their first training session in Morocco as preparations continue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team arrived in Morocco on Tuesday evening at around 6:30 pm Nigerian time after departing Cairo earlier in the day at approximately 1 pm. Their arrival followed a 2–1 defeat to Egypt in an international friendly played as part of AFCON build-up.
Shortly after settling in, the Super Eagles’ media team shared a video on the team’s verified X handle showing the players undergoing training.

While Softfootball can ascertain the training session happened in Fes, Morocco, most members of the confirmed 28-man AFCON squad were seen actively participating.
Snapshots from the session showed the players engaged in drills and light exercises, signaling a focused start to preparations on Moroccan soil. The training session marked the team’s first official activity since arriving in the host country.

The Super Eagles will open their AFCON 2025 campaign against Tanzania on Wednesday, December 23, 2025, in a Group C encounter, as Nigeria looks to begin the tournament on a strong note.
