The Super Eagles of Nigeria have officially departed Cairo, Egypt, for Fes, Morocco, as they gear up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The team left Cairo around 1 pm Nigerian time on December 18, 2025, according to Softfootball reports.

Earlier, the squad faced a 2–1 defeat to Egypt in an international friendly, a result that sparked significant backlash from fans online. Despite the criticism, the team appears focused on the upcoming tournament.

In a video shared on the Super Eagles’ verified X handle, the players were seen carrying their luggage while dressed in traditional green senator attire, presenting a unified and stylish image ahead of the continental competition.

The morale in the squad remains high, with key players, including Victor Osimhen, Calvin Bassey, Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, and Samuel Chukwueze, previously expressing optimism in a video declaring “Naija 4 the win”, emphasizing that the team is going full force for the AFCON title.
