São Paulo have made an approach to Jamie Vardy as they look to tempt the Leicester City legend into a surprise move to Brazil.
The Brazilian club have contacted Vardy, who is currently a free agent and assessing several options for the next chapter of his career.
No final decision has been made by the 38-year-old regarding his next club, with Vardy continuing to consider the proposals on the table.
A move to São Paulo would represent a major new experience for the former England international, who spent the majority of his career at Leicester City and became one of the most iconic players in the club’s history.
The approach comes after Softfootball reported last month on a humorous story involving Vardy and his former Leicester teammates Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Speaking on a podcast, Vardy recalled how Ndidi and Iheanacho would sometimes make brief trips to Nigeria after picking up minor injuries before returning with what he jokingly described as a “juju cream” as part of their recovery routine.
Vardy’s future remains undecided, with the former Premier League champion now weighing up his options before choosing his next destination.
