Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne have emerged as potential suitors for Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers, who has found himself increasingly sidelined following the emergence of teammate Hamza Igamane.

Cyriel Dessers has fallen down the pecking order at Ibrox in recent weeks, with Igamane scoring five goals in his last six appearances, while Danilo’s return from injury has further complicated his path back into the starting lineup.

Softfootball has learned that French outlet Le Republicain Sportif reports strong interest from Saint-Etienne in securing his signature.

The Nigerian forward has struggled to fully win over sections of the Rangers fanbase since his arrival, despite maintaining an impressive scoring record that currently stands at 12 goals across all competitions this season.

Rangers are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of £3.5million for Dessers, who remains under contract at Ibrox until 2027, giving the Scottish club some leverage in any potential negotiations.
