Medical tests later confirmed a severe rupture of the proximal tendon in his right quadriceps, an injury serious enough to require surgery.
The situation has further intensified concerns inside the Madrid camp because Kylian Mbappe is also unavailable after sustaining a semitendinosus muscle injury in his left leg during the recent draw against Real Betis. Losing two key French stars at such a crucial stage of the season has added significant pressure on the squad.
