Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso has been named LaLiga Coach of the month for August, Softfootball reports.
The former Bayer Levekusen manager replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the summer and led the Los Blancos to a semifinal finish in the FIFA Club World Cup. After his appointment, former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale tipped Alonso to succeed at the club.

According to football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Alonso was outstanding with his Real Madrid squad and they have maintained a 100% start to the season. He announced:
Official: Xabi Alonso is La Liga Manager of the Month.
Alonso beat competition from the likes of Ernesto Valverde of Athletic Club and RCD Espanyol’s Manolo Gonzalez in the final vote for the award.
Real Madrid has been in fine form under Alonso since the start of the season with three wins over Osasuna, Real Oviedo, and RCD Mallorca. In those three wins, the Los Blancos have conceded only one goal while scoring six with kylian Mbappe the topscorer on three goals.
Alonso came into his former club with a high reputation, having won the Bundesliga title unbeaten with Bayer Leverkusen, German DFB Pokal and gotten to the UEFA Europa League final where they lost to Serie A side, Atalanta courtesy a Ademola Lookman hat-trick.
The former Liverpool midfielder has introduced the back three system at Real Madrid and the players have adapted to him effortlessly. He emphasises positional discipline, intelligent ball circulation, and high-intensity pressing, blending control with adaptability and tactical flexibility.
Alonso’s 3-4-3 formation transitions to a 3-2-5 attacking shape, allowing for strong build-up play from the back through short passing and diagonal balls. Out of possession, his sides employ an aggressive press and counter-press, making them dominant, energetic, and emotionally charged.
So far, he is making the Real Madrid fans happy and they would hope their good form continues after the international break when they face Real Sociedad in the match-day 4 of LaLiga.
