Even Fabrizio Romano reposted an earlier tweet that indicated that the deal is very close to completion, indicating that both parties have gone past the negotiation phase.

Fabrizio revealed:

Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on new deal with higher salary for William Pacho. New contract being finalised, it will be valid until June 2030.

Excellent move in summer 2024 strongly wanted by Luis Campos, seen as key part of Luis Enrique’s squad.

Pacho, 24, arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2024 for around €40 million, after being handpicked by sporting director Luis Campos to bring balance and poise to the defense. It didn’t take long for that vision to materialize.

The Ecuadorian quickly cemented his spot in the starting lineup, making over 50 appearances in his debut campaign and playing a crucial role in PSG’s historic treble, which included their first-ever UEFA Champions League title. Since then, he has been ever present and even recently helped his team to a 3-2 Ligue 1 victory against Lyon.

Known for his calm composure, sharp anticipation, and impressive ball-playing ability, Pacho has drawn consistent praise from Luis Enrique, who reportedly sees him as one of the best modern centre-backs in Europe.

The early extension initially set for 2029 is said to be an “exceptional case” in PSG’s renewal policy. Campos moved swiftly to lock him down amid growing interest from top clubs, including Liverpool, who had been keeping tabs on his situation.

The new contract comes with a substantial pay raise and a message: PSG are no longer just collecting stars; they’re building legacies. Pacho’s rise has also become a point of national pride in Ecuador, inspiring a new generation of players back home.

At just 24, with a long-term deal and a treble already under his belt, William Pacho looks destined to be more than just a signing, he’s shaping up to be one of the defining pillars of PSG’s new era.
