Softfootball understands that Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on the signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona, with final negotiations between the two clubs now underway and the transfer increasingly expected to be completed.
The French champions had already reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with the 26-year-old Spanish forward and are now working with Barcelona to finalize a deal worth around €55 million.
Torres has been granted permission to miss Barcelona training as both clubs complete the final stages of negotiations. The development represents a major step toward his departure from Camp Nou after Barcelona accepted the possibility of selling the versatile attacker this summer.
PSG are looking to strengthen their forward line following key departures, while Torres can operate across the front three and provide additional pace, movement and finishing quality.

For Barcelona, the proposed €55 million sale would provide valuable funds while helping the club manage its finances and create greater room within the squad for further attacking reinforcements.
With personal terms already agreed and Torres now absent from training with permission, negotiations have entered the final phase. Unless there is an unexpected late complication, the Spanish forward is expected to complete his move to Paris and begin a new chapter of his career under Luis Enrique.
