FC Barcelona have confirmed that Pedri and Marcus Rashford have both been declared fit and are available for selection for today’s LaLiga fixture against Levante UD.
The update was shared via the club’s official X handle, delivering a timely boost for head coach Hansi Flick ahead of a crucial encounter.
Barcelona posted:
MEDICAL REPORT Pedri and Rashford have been declared fit and are available for selection by Hansi Flick for today’s game with Levante
Softfootball had earlier reported on February 19 that Pedri sustained a right hamstring injury during Barcelona’s 4-2 victory over SK Slavia Prague. Medical tests initially suggested the 23-year-old midfielder could be sidelined for around a month, raising concerns over his availability during a decisive period of the season.

A day later, Barcelona also confirmed that Rashford would miss the clash against Atlético Madrid after experiencing pain in his left knee. The striker picked up the issue following a heavy knock during Saturday’s match against RCD Mallorca at Spotify Camp Nou.

However, both players have now recovered sufficiently to be included in the squad for today’s showdown.
Barcelona host Levante on February 22, 2026, at 15:15 British time in a fixture that could significantly impact the LaLiga title race. The Catalan side currently sit second in the 2025/26 standings with 58 points, just two behind leaders Real Madrid CF.

Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to CA Osasuna on February 21 has reopened the race at the top, offering Barcelona a major opportunity to reclaim first place with a win.
With Pedri’s creativity in midfield and Rashford’s attacking threat restored, Flick now has two key figures back at his disposal as the title battle intensifies.
