Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been awarded the Globe Soccer Comeback Award at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards ceremony held in Dubai on December 28, Softfootball reports.
The French star recently signed a two-year contract with AS Monaco, officially returning to professional football after serving an 18-month suspension related to a doping violation. According to the Globe Soccer Awards organizers, the honor recognizes Pogba’s resilience, perseverance, and determination to restart his career at the highest level.

In a statement published on the Globe Soccer website, the award was described as a gesture to “value his journey and welcome his return to professional football with respect and confidence.”
This was their statement;
Globe Soccer is delighted to celebrate the return to action of a champion like Paul Pogba, who remained away from the football pitch for too long after demonstrating undisputed quality throughout his career. Pogba remains one of the strongest midfielders of his generation, and his absence represented a loss for the spectacle of the game and the example he has always offered to fellow specialists in his role.
Paul would certainly have merited a career award, but this recognition intends to look forward, interpreting his return as a new opportunity to leave a further mark of excellence on football. This award aims to value his journey and welcome his return to professional football with respect and confidence.
Pogba’s recognition places him among other high-profile awardees at the 2025 ceremony, including Andrés Iniesta, who received the Player Career Award, and Lamine Yamal, who won Best Forward. The event celebrated football excellence across players, clubs, coaches, and special achievements worldwide.
