Cole Palmer and Achempong were at the center of events as Chelsea threw away a 2:0 lead to draw 2:2 against Leeds. Softfootball gathered that Chelsea looked in full control after João Pedro opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Cole Palmer then doubled the lead in the 58th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot to make it 2:0.

However, the game turned in the second half. Achempong failed to properly clear his lines in the 73rd minute, a mistake that led directly to Noah Okafor pulling one back for Leeds. The momentum shifted, and Leeds eventually found the equaliser to make it 2:2.
In stoppage time, Palmer had a golden opportunity to win the match but could not convert, a moment that would have sealed all three points for the Blues.
Despite the disappointment, Palmer has been prolific in recent weeks, especially after his hat-trick performance against Wolves. Chelsea remain in 5th position following the draw, as Manchester United also dropped points in a 1:1 draw with West Ham.
The top-four race remains tight, and Chelsea will know that dropping a 2:0 lead at this stage of the season could prove costly in the long run.
