Victor Osimhen marked his return from injury with a goal as Galatasaray recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday night.

Softfootball gathered that the Nigerian striker made an instant impact after coming off the bench, capping his comeback with a late goal to help the Turkish champions seal another impressive league victory.

Osimhen had missed Galatasaray’s recent matches through injury but returned to training earlier this week and was named among the substitutes by manager Okan Buruk.

Mauro Icardi put the hosts in complete control with two first-half goals, giving Galatasaray a comfortable advantage before the break.

Osimhen was introduced in the 78th minute as a replacement for the Argentine forward.

The 25-year-old rounded off the victory deep into stoppage time, calmly finishing to score Galatasaray’s third goal of the evening.

The strike took Osimhen’s tally to three goals in four Turkish Super Lig appearances since joining the Yellow and Reds.

Galatasaray will now shift their attention to a crucial league clash against rivals Besiktas, with Osimhen expected to play a key role as they continue their push to retain the league title.
