Newcastle United are set to close the deal for Amar Dedić from Benfica, with a final round of negotiations scheduled between the two clubs.
The 23-year-old full-back has already agreed personal terms with Newcastle and is now waiting for the clubs to finalise the remaining details of the transfer.
Softfootball reported three days ago that Newcastle had opened official club-to-club negotiations with Benfica over a potential move for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

The talks began as Newcastle explored the possibility of bringing Dedić to St James’ Park, with manager Matthias Jaissle also identifying the defender as a priority target.
The arrival of Dedić would provide Newcastle with another defensive option as Jaissle continues to shape his squad.
Once the full-back deal is completed, Newcastle are also expected to turn their attention towards strengthening the midfield, with a midfielder now next on the club’s agenda.
