Wilfred Ndidi will be sidelined for Leicester City’s away trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, after manager Ruud van Nistelrooy confirmed the midfielder is dealing with a hamstring problem.
The Nigeria international was forced off early in the second half during Leicester’s 2-2 draw with Brighton last weekend, with the injury now expected to keep him out for a couple of weeks.

Softfootball understands Van Nistelrooy provided an update on the midfielder’s condition during Thursday’s press conference. He said:
He has a hamstring injury, so he’s not available for Saturday’s game. We’re looking at his progress and how he will react to the injury, but it looks like it’s at least a couple of weeks.”
Ndidi has made 15 league appearances for Leicester so far this season, and his continued fitness will be closely monitored as the club looks to build momentum heading into the busy festive period.
