Nantes manager Antoine Kombouare has praised Moses Simon following the Nigeria international’s impressive display in the club’s 1-1 draw against Saint-Etienne.
Simon gave Nantes an early lead by scoring in the 14th minute, but the hosts fought back late in the game through Ghanaian forward Augustine Boakye.
The result saw Nantes settle for a point, but Softfootball reports that Simon’s performance earned recognition from his manager, who highlighted the winger’s ability to operate in different positions.
Speaking via the club’s official website, Kombouare praised the Nigerian for delivering the performance expected of him. He said:
Simon played the game we expected of him. He’s capable of playing anywhere.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed a productive campaign, registering five goals and five assists in 16 Ligue 1 appearances.
Nantes currently sit 15th in the league standings with 17 points and will be hoping Simon can continue his strong form as they look to move further away from the relegation battle.
The French side will host Lyon in their next league fixture.
