Manchester United will continue their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign when they face European champions Paris Saint-Germain in a high-profile pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils head into the encounter with confidence after securing a 2-1 victory over Atlético Madrid in the Snapdragon Cup. PSG, meanwhile, began their pre-season preparations with a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Mallorca.
Manchester United are also stepping up their pursuit of Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, identifying the England defender as the ideal long-term successor to Luke Shaw.
PSG have had a relatively quiet summer in terms of incoming transfers, with Luis Enrique’s side making just one signing so far. Highly-rated teenage goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni arrived from AC Milan, while several players have departed the club.
Saturday’s meeting with United will offer both teams an opportunity to build fitness, assess new tactical ideas and give players valuable minutes ahead of the start of the competitive season.

Team News
PSG did have Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in their team against Mallorca last time out, as Georgia failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, but a host of key players were missing.
Man United are still without Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford due to their involvement in the latter stages of the 2026 World Cup, while Benjamin Sesko remains a major doubt due to a shin injury which has kept him out until the end of last season.
