Manchester City have confirmed their 23-man List A squad for the league phase of this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The squad which was revealed via the club’s official website, features new arrival Gianluigi Donnarumma, who completed a €35m move from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day, as well as fellow summer signings Rayan Aït-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and James Trafford.

UEFA regulations permit a maximum of 25 players on List A, with at least two goalkeepers included. Eight slots are reserved for locally trained players, of which no more than four can be association-trained.

Softfootball understands that clubs may also register players on List B if they were born on or after 1 January 2004 and have been eligible to play for the club for at least two uninterrupted years. City has submitted Rico Lewis and Nico O’Reilly under this category.

Should Pep Guardiola’s side progress beyond the league phase, up to three additional players may be registered for the knockout stages by 5 February 2025.
