Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia has completed a loan move to Dutch Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven.

The Netherlands international will spend the remainder of the season with the Dutch side after struggling for regular playing time at Old Trafford.

Softfootball reports that the agreement includes an option for PSV to sign the 25-year-old permanently at the end of the loan spell.

Voetbal International journalist Joost Blaauwhof confirmed that the deal had been completed, with Manchester United finalising the necessary arrangements for the left-back’s departure. Blaauwhof wrote:

Done deal! Tyrell Malacia is a player of PSV. Manchester United has arranged everything. Left back is employed by the Eindhoven team immediately.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also disclosed that PSV could make the transfer permanent for €10 million in the summer.

Tyrell Malacia leaves Man United to join PSV Eindhoven, here we go! Loan move with salary covered until June and buy option clause included, told it’s worth €10m.

The agreement is also understood to include a 30 percent sell-on clause in favour of Manchester United.

Malacia joined Manchester United from Feyenoord in 2022 but has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford, with injuries and limited playing opportunities affecting his progress.

The temporary move to PSV will give the defender an opportunity to play regularly and regain his best form.
