Ademola Lookman has declined to be drawn into speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League, choosing instead to reflect on his growth since joining Atalanta.

The Nigeria international has been a standout performer at the Gewiss Stadium since arriving from RB Leipzig two years ago, having previously spent time with Premier League sides Leicester City and Everton earlier in his career.

Speaking to Sporty TV, Lookman was careful not to confirm or deny any interest in a move back to England. He said:

Obviously the player that I was then is definitely the completely different player than I am today.

And as a person, I have grown up and I’ve matured a lot, and I have been able to achieve a lot in my time here.

The winger went on to explain how his personal development off the pitch has shaped who he’s become as a footballer. He added:

That’s also because I’ve been able to create a process in terms of my work and how I think and all different aspects of my life.

It’s all becoming who I am today, so I’m pleased with that, and wherever the future takes you, we shall see.
