Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has revealed that striker Hugo Ekitike is yet to train with the team ahead of the match against Arsenal on Thursday,Softfootball reports.
The France international missed Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Fulham last Sunday due to DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) and a major doubt for the Match-Day 21 showdown against the Gunners.

Speaking in an interview shared on Liverpool’s official X handle, Slot is worried that the player hasn’t been able to train ahead of the crucial match against the North Londoners. He said:
He has not trained with us until now and let’s see if he can today [Wednesday]. I’ve said, I think, two or three days ago when we played Fulham that he is not going to be out for long but because games come so fast he is in between maybe training with the team or it would take him one or two days extra.
Interestingly, the last time Liverpool won a match, Ekitike was fit and involved. After a 2-1 win over Wolves, Slot hailed Florian Wirtz for scoring his first goal for Liverpool in that encounter.
