Former Lazio midfielder Fabio Liverani has expressed concern over Super eagles Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s recent performances, with Softfootball understanding that the Italian believes the Nigerian midfielder has looked less composed in recent matches.
Despite Lazio’s Seria A victory over Cagliari, Liverani admitted he expected more from Dele-Bashiru after the midfielder impressed during previous appearances earlier in the campaign.
Speaking to Radiosei, Fabio Liverani suggested the Super Eagles star appeared disorganised and lacked the confidence that had previously helped him establish himself within Marco Baroni’s squad.
The former Lazio midfielder also hinted that Dele-Bashiru’s recent lack of playing time may have affected his rhythm, although he admitted he could not say for certain what caused the drop in performance.
Dele-Bashiru remains an important part of Lazio’s midfield plans and will be hoping to quickly rediscover the form that earned him praise during the first half of the season.
