Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has revealed that his decision to leave Chelsea for the Gunners was the best move he has made in his football career, softfootball reports.
The Germany international joined Arsenal from Chelsea last season after a successful spell at Stamford Bridge, where he played a key role in the club’s Champions League triumph. Since moving to North London, Havertz has settled well and believes the switch has helped him continue his development.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Havertz said he is enjoying his time at Arsenal and remains focused on helping the club compete for more trophies.
“For me, it’s the best thing I could have done. I’m so happy with the support of everyone who has helped me during my time there,” Havertz said.
“I’ve only just started and I hope to continue playing well and winning titles.”
Reflecting on the Premier League title race, the forward admitted that the competition continues to become more challenging every season. He also praised Liverpool for their strong start but insisted Arsenal remain ready for the battle ahead.
“We are still in the first part of the season and anything can happen. Personally, I think how the Premier League is getting tougher year after year.
“Liverpool have suddenly reached the top level and they are continuing to show it, week after week, and I definitely have to give them credit. But there are a lot of games to play, points to get, so we will definitely be ready for the fight.”
