England international, Kobbie Mainoo has returned to training for Manchester United ahead of the Premier League Match-Day 21 against Burnley at Turf Moor, Softfootball understands.
The 20-year-old last featured for the Red Devils on December 15 when Manchester United played out a 4-4 draw against Bournemouth at Old Trafford, he was a second half substitute in that match,

Manchester United’s interim manager, Darren Fletcher confirmed Mainoo is back via the club’s official X handle. He said:
Kobbie Mainoo trained today, but we’ll see how he comes through…to see if he’s going to be in the squad.

Mainoo, who missed the Red Devils first game in 2026 when Manchester United battled to a 1-1 draw against Leeds United will hope to get more chances under Darren Fletcher as Ruben Amorim never really played him as he preferred Bruno Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount are both ready to ready following time spent on the sidelines in recent weeks. But Manchester United will be without Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire, while Noussair Mazraoui and Bryan Mbeumo are currently representing their countries at the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
