Reports reaching Softfootball now is that Julián Álvarez has addressed growing transfer speculation linking him with FC Barcelona, making it clear he remains focused on his role at Atlético Madrid.
Barcelona are understood to have made initial contact with Atlético to explore a potential move, but the Madrid club have consistently rejected any suggestion of a transfer.
Club president Enrique Cerezo has already dismissed the speculation, while director Mateu Alemany also denied that negotiations are taking place.

Speaking via Fabrizio Romano via his official x handle, the Argentine forward downplayed the rumours: “I try not to give too much importance to what they say… every week new things come out.” He added that his priority is to concentrate on performances with Atlético rather than external noise.
Fabrizio shared:
Julián Álvarez replies to Barcelona links: I try not to give too much importance to what they say, because the truth is that every week new things come out, all kinds of new information. I try not to waste energy on that and to focus on what we’re doing here at Atléti.
With uncertainty surrounding Barcelona’s attacking plans, alternative options have been discussed, including Victor Osimhen, although financial concerns could complicate any potential deal.

For now, Álvarez remains committed to Atlético, keeping his focus on the pitch as speculation over his long-term future continues to circulate.
