Super Eagles forward Joy Omewa enjoyed a memorable evening on Saturday, 26 September 2026, scoring her first goal for BK Häcken as the club produced a dominant 6–0 victory away at IFK Norrköping DFK.
It was Omewa’s first start for her new club, and she made full use of the opportunity by opening her goal account. BK Häcken Women delivered a complete masterclass, with goals from Joy Omewa, Tabby Tindell, Anna Anvegård, Alva Selerud, Stine Sandbech, plus an own goal, sealing the emphatic win.
The Super Falcons star completed her move to BK Häcken earlier in the summer, signing a contract that runs until June 2029.
Her transfer followed Softfootball’s confirmation on 3 June that she would leave Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2025/2026 season, a departure that became official on Monday, 20 July 2026.
Now, just weeks into her new chapter, Omewa has already begun making an impact — scoring, starting matches, and settling quickly into Häcken’s attacking system.
