Softfootball reports that Jordan Pickford looks set to commit his future to Everton again, with reports saying the England No.1 will sign a new long-term contract before the end of this week. Jordan Pickford has agreed to sign new long term deal at Everton, everything done and approved by player’s camp. It will be officially signed next week

Pickford, 31, has been a huge part of Everton’s story since joining from Sunderland back in 2017. He’s been through all the ups and downs with the club and has grown into a real leader under David Moyes. The new contract will come with a solid pay rise too, which feels like a fair reward for his loyalty and consistency, especially after years of standing tall in some tough moments.

His current deal, signed in early 2023, was meant to run till 2027. But Everton aren’t waiting around this time they’ve moved quickly to make sure their No.1 stays put. It’s no secret Pickford has been one of the few players who has delivered, no matter how rough things got. He’s become something of a cult hero at Goodison, and fans will surely welcome the news of him staying longer, especially given the role he has played in Everton’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace and the 1-1 victory over West Ham.

There’s even been some chatter about whether Pickford still holds the title of England’s most expensive goalkeeper. Burnley claim Manchester City actually paid £31 million plus add-ons for James Trafford, while City’s side of the story says the figure was closer to £27m. Either way, it’s hard to argue that Pickford hasn’t proven to be worth every penny of the £30 million Everton paid for him.

All in all, it’s a win for both sides. Everton keep their leader and shot-stopper, and Pickford stays where he’s clearly valued and settled. The announcement could drop any day now — and it’ll be one fans will be very happy to hear.
