Jordan Pickford has agreed to sign a new long-term contract at Everton, Softfootball reports.

The 31-year-old who is currently on international duty with the Three Lions was in goal last Thursday as England defeated Wales 3-0 at the famous Wembley stadium as they prepare for their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Latvia on Tuesday.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano informed on the goalkeeper’s new deal via his official X handle on Sunday afternoon. He wrote:

Jordan Pickford has agreed to sign new long term deal at Everton, everything done and approved by player’s camp.It will be officially signed next week, as @_pauljoyce reported.

Interestingly, Pickford broke England’s 1966 goalkeeper, Gordon Banks’ record with his eighth consecutive clean sheet for the Three Lions when he kept a clean sheet against Wales. It took him past a year without conceding a goal for his country.

The Everton goalkeeper marked his 79th appearance for England with that feat and will be hoping to get his 80th cap on Tuesday night in flying colours. The last time Pickford conceded a goal for England was during the 2-1 by defeat by Greece in the Nations League.

After Tuesday’s game against Latvia, Everton will hope Pickford returns in top form as they resume premier league action against Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday, October 18.
