Joao Felix arrives Al-Nassr for medicals ahead of 2-years, £44m move

Joao Felix has arrived Saudi Arabia to complete his transfer move from Chelsea to Al-Nassr. Softfootball understands that the Portuguese forward will move in a deal worth approximately £44 million.

Chelsea will recoup the £45m they paid Atletico Madrid for Felix last summer. The Blues had sent the attacker out on loan to AC Milan for six months in January for a £5m loan fee as they were hoping to help the midfielder to find form again.

The 25-year-old has now arrived Riyadh for his medical to complete his move from the London club.  According to transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano via a video he posted on his verified X handle, Felix had arrived Al-Nassr for his medical.

 The video posted is shown below.

Felix’s former club Benfica were previously in talks to re-sign the 25-year-old Portuguese international until Al-Nassr hijacked the deal. He will now sign a 2 year deal valid till 2027 with Al-Nassr.

The Saudi Arabia side are looking to win the Saudi Pro League, having extended Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract and also bringing on Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus as their new head coach.

The club has parted ways with Jhon Duran who they got from Aston Villa in January only 6 months after hence they need a new attacker to help their pursuit of trophies this coming season.

For Chelsea, this deal comes in good faith as they not only recover the exact amount they bought Felix bought will progress in balancing their books. The Club alredy sold goalkeepers Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga for a combined £20m and winger Noni Madueke for £55m this transfer window.

More players like forward Raheem Sterling, left-back Ben Chilwell, midfielder Renato Veiga and striker Armando Broja are still to be sold.

Softfootball has also been informed that Al-Nassr have made an undisclosed offer to the Red Devils for Brazilian winger,  Antony, who has been exiled at Manchester United.
