Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confessed that he is a huge fan of Newcastle United Captain, Bruno Guimarães, Softfootball reports.
The Ciyzens face Newcastle United in the premier league match-day 12 at Saint James’ Park on Saturday. Manchester City hammered Liverpool 3-0 just before the international break and will look to continue their winning streak while the Magpies lost 3-1 away to Brentford and would be eyeing a home win.

Football expert, Fabrizio Romano shared via his official X handle, an interview where Guardiola spoke highly of the Brazilian. He said:
I’ve always been a big fan of Bruno Guimarães. Since he was in Lyon you start to realise that he is a special player. Newcastle United made an incredible signing. He’s an idol there.
The win against Liverpool was Guardiola’s 1000th win in his professional career as a manager since he started from the popular Barcelona La Masia before managing the first team. He took six months break before heading to Bayern Munich and now in England with Manchester City.

Interestingly, Manchester City and Newcastle United have faced themselves about 194 times and the Cityzens has won 79 while the Magpies’ picked 73 victories with 42 ending in draws.
Manchester City are currently second on the premier league table with 22 points, four adrift of leaders Arsenal while Newcastle United are ranked 14th with just 12 points after 11 matches so far.
