Bayern Munich Forward, Harry Kane has hailed England’s 2-0 win over Andorra as a “positive step forward’, Softfootball reports.
The first goal came from a mistake by Andorran defender Christian García, who accidentally diverted Noni Madueke’s cross past his own net and giving England the lead after heavy pressure on the visitors goal.

The first half did not bring much joy to the home fans as they did not witness another goal until the second half. Infact, the goal came in the 67th minute when Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, charging forward with purpose, met a pinpoint ball from Chelsea defender, Reece James. It was a delicious cross from the Blues skipper and Rice’s connecting header was powerful enough to get it into the net.
Tuchel’s team did not excite or blow the opponents away as they did not add to their goals tally after the Declan Rice goal..
For Harry Kane, it was a significant game as made his 108th appearances for the Three Lions, moving level with England legend Bobby Moore.
However, during the game itself Kane missed a sitter when he failed to connect to Recce James’ cross with the goal at his mercy. The hunger to score will always be with Kane into England’s next match.
After the match, Kane took to his official X handle. He wrote:
Good to be back out there in an England shirt. Job done at Villa Park, positive step forward in our World Cup qualifying campaign
Kane has been in spectacular form especially for Bayern Munich, last season he was their top scorer and has continued this season despite having great lads like Michael Olise and Luiz Diaz sharing the goalscoring burden in the Bavarians squad.
England stay top of Group K with an excellent start so far and will hope for the same fortune in Belgrade against Serbia on Tuesday.
