Golf sensation and a big Manchester United fan, Rory McIlroy has confessed that the last time he watched the club live was during the Europa League final which they lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur, Softfootball reports.
Ruben Amorim, who led Manchester United to that final in Bilbao definitely does not rank high in the books of Mcllroy after experiencing great success during the times of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson and it may come as a relief to some fans that the Portuguese quit the Reds Devils this morning.

Speaking with Manchester United legend, Gary Neville on his official podcast, the OverLap. Mcllroy revealed:
The last game I went to watch live was that Europa League final in Bilbao. I was sitting there going: What did you expect? It’s the 16th and 17th team in the Premier League, of course it was going to be like this. But it’s better. They look good going forward, but they’re still fragile at the back, conceding four goals at home on Monday. I’m much more optimistic than I would have been 12 months ago, but I still think there’s a lot of work to be done.
Maybe Mcllroy will start attending games now at Old Trafford after the departure of the Portuguese. Ruben Amorim’s final game for Manchester United was the 1-1 against Leeds United while his final win came against Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
