The Nigerian Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has officially conferred national honours on players of the Super Eagles men’s senior national team that finished as runners-up at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Softfootball gathered, the Super Eagles won the silver medal after losing 2–1 to Côte d’Ivoire in the final, under former head coach José Peseiro. In recognition of their efforts and national representation, players from the squad were awarded prestigious honours including MON, MFR, and OON.
