Liverpool failed to win their premier league match-day 19 fixtures against Leeds United at Anfield and that left some fans raging after the disappointing show, Softfootball understands.
The Reds played out a goalless draw against Leeds and that derailed their chances of closing the gap on the top three teams, Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Liverpool shared the result of the encounter on their official X handle with a photo. Check below.

Despite captain, Virgil van Dijk urging the team to make a strong start to 2026, they still dropped the ball at home against a newly promoted Leeds United side without big name players like their rivals.

A fan with the username @abazwhyllzz was obviously enraged by the result as it affected his betting ticket.
First day of the year Una cut person ticket e make sense to una? They’re paying you guys millions yet you can’t score a single goal wha exactly are you people always training for?
@ararsoabdull is obviously not a Liverpool fan and used the opportunity to throw shades at Liverpool supporters.
Ah, the Arne Slot masterclass: turning Anfield into a parking lot. But hey Liverpool fan, at least you didn’t lose. Debate me: Is a bore draw better than a thriller defeat? 😴⚽ #LIVLEE
@HatemMElgammal just couldn’t believe that players were played out of position and had a few questions.
How on earth can a team as big as Liverpool play their RB in the RW position? Firmpong is a fantastic player, but if he plays in his position. If you prefer to play a defender as a winger rather than play Chiesa, why is he in the team if he’s not going to play under these circumstances, with all the absences in the squad?

@PhilColins_O wants Arne Slot sacked as Coach of Liverpool as he does not feel he is good enough for the club.
When is it enough with this boring football? When will Liverpool management realize Slot’s appointment was an error and begin the process of correcting that? Every opportunity we have to climb up the table is blown away.
@thefemigeorge is already thinking about the next match as the Leeds game was so disappointing for him.
Disappointing, very disappointing. Attack is slow, too slow. Looked like Liverpool were wasting their own time. Leeds could have won the game if Calvert-Lewin managed to stay an inch onside. Poor performance. Fulham next.
Liverpool will travel to London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League Match-Day 20. The Reds are currently fourth on the table with 33 points after 19 matches so far.
