The Christmas season brings out the best in everyone and Everton star, Jack Grealish taped into the feeling of the season when he visited Brave Evertonian Georgie at the Saint Monica Primary School for a huge surprise, Softfootball reports.

The England international who wasn’t available when Everton lost 2-0 against Chelsea in the premier league Match-Day 16 last weekend, looked like he enjoyed the school environment as he had a great time with George and his classmates.

Speaking in an interview that was shared via Everton’s official X handle. Grealish said:

It was a lovely day to surprise little Georgie. To see how much he appreciated it and to meet the other kids as well – it was a really special day for me and hopefully him, too! I feel like Everton is such a family club. Everyone is so together here. I think it’s important that it’s like that and I really respect the way it is. It’ll be a special moment for him to be mascot. We’ll look after him and I’ve heard he likes Declan Rice as well, so I’ll make sure I get Dec’s shirt for him!

Grealish will hope to return to action on Saturday when Everton welcome Arsenal to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the Premier League Match-Day 17 fixture on Saturday evening.

Interestingly, Grealish, who visited the school unannounced invited eight-year-old to be a mascot during the game against Arsenal this weekend. George tragically lost his father before his first birthday, then his mother Gemma was diagnosed with stage four blood cancer, which led to chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.

Two years ago, he also lost his nan while his favourite teaching assistant, who also supported Everton passed away earlier this year. Despite everything, Georgie continues to excel in school, while holding a deep passion for playing football and watching Everton. He has also been a huge help to his mum during her treatment, and was nominated for the surprise by his grandad Keith.
