Enzo Fernández has sparked fresh transfer speculation after admitting he would like to live in Madrid, raising eyebrows among Chelsea supporters.

Softfootball indicate The remarks come amid an already tense period surrounding the Argentine’s future. Earlier this month, Fernández questioned Chelsea’s decision to part ways with Enzo Maresca, suggesting the team had a better structure under the former coach. He also hinted that a decision on his future could come at the end of the season.

While speculation grows, teammate Moisés Caicedo has taken a contrasting stance, publicly reaffirming his commitment to Chelsea and his ambition to become a club legend.

In comments confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his x handle, the midfielder described Madrid as a “beautiful city” that reminds him of Buenos Aires.

Fabrizio posted:

Enzo Fernández: “I’d like to live in Madrid. It’s a beautiful city, reminds me of Buenos Aires”. When asked by @SpiderCarp23 about clubs there… Enzo ended up smiling and didn’t comment.

When pressed further about clubs in the Spanish capital, Fernández smiled but declined to elaborate a reaction that has only intensified rumours linking him with Real Madrid.

With the season nearing its conclusion, Fernández’s comments have added another layer of uncertainty around Chelsea’s already turbulent campaign.
