Speaking recently, Bove said he is “not scared” and is ready to help Watford push for a return to the Premier League. His comeback has been widely described as an emotional milestone for the sport.

Watford are in talks to sign Swansea target Max Alleyne from Manchester City as they look to reinforce their defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

Elsewhere in Watford news, defender Max Alleyne was recalled by Manchester City in January due to injuries at the Etihad, while teenage centre-back Stephen Mfuni arrived on loan to strengthen the back line.

Softfootball reported that Bove’s return, exactly 15 months after his collapse in Italy, was one of the most inspiring moments of the 2025/26 Championship season.
