Donnarumma’s Agent Slams PSG, Confirms Premier League Move as Next Step

The tension between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Paris Saint-Germain has escalated further, with the Italian goalkeeper’s agent, Enzo Raiola, publicly declaring that the Premier League is the right step for his client while blasting PSG’s handling of the situation.

Speaking to the media and later quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Raiola made it clear that England is now the only focus for the 25-year-old.

Fabrizio tweeted on his official X account, claiming:

“EXCL – Donnarumma’s agent Raiola: “Premier League is the right step for Gigio in my view, we’re working on it.

“There are zero talks with Italian clubs. We are still shocked by PSG behaviour with Gigio.

“Manchester City, keen on Gigio.”

Raiola expressed his profound shock at what he described as a breakdown in respect after four years of collaboration. He hinted that the player’s camp is even weighing legal options in response to PSG’s shifting contract terms and demands.

This comes after it was reported that the Italian goalie dropped an emotional message to fans of PSG expressing his disappointment and pain. Softfootball confirmed that Manchester City have emerged as the frontrunners, with Pep Guardiola’s side considering a move as part of a possible goalkeeping reshuffle, especially amid Galatasaray’s interest in current No. 1 Ederson.

City have already invested £31m in James Trafford this summer, with the young goalkeeper tipped to play a major role next season, but Donnarumma’s proven pedigree, including guiding PSG to their first-ever Champions League triumph last season, is tempting for the Premier League giant.

Donnarumma’s future has also been linked to Manchester United, Real Madrid, and clubs in Saudi Arabia, but Raiola confirmed no talks are happening in Italy.

Since arriving from AC Milan on a free transfer in 2021, Donnarumma has made 161 appearances for PSG, winning four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, three French Super Cups, and the Champions League. He was also a hero for Italy at Euro 2020, helping them secure the continental crown.

But with trust fractured and the relationship with PSG now beyond repair, it appears Donnarumma’s next chapter will be written in England and the Etihad could be his new home.
