Dayot Upamecano has opened up about his future at Bayern Munich amid growing transfer speculation linking him with several European giants. The French defender, who remains under contract with Bayern until June 2028, made it clear he feels settled and happy at the club, as shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account.

He said when asked about potential interest from other teams:
We’ll make the right decision. I’m well advised.
Speaking further, he added:
I’ve always said I feel comfortable at Bayern. I have a great coach and teammates.

His comments echo earlier reports by SoftFootball suggesting that Bayern’s hierarchy fully expects him to stay long-term. Despite persistent rumours linking him with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, Upamecano was calm when asked if he’s tempted by offers elsewhere. He said:
I’m under contract at Bayern. I’m very grateful if there are clubs interested in me, but my focus is here.
His words come at a time when Bayern are reportedly keen to secure his future even further, as noted in a recent SoftFootball report that revealed the club’s intention to extend his deal amid whispers of Real Madrid interest.

Since joining Bayern Munich from RB Leipzig in 2021 for €42.5 million, Upamecano has grown into one of the Bundesliga’s most reliable central defenders. Known for his strength, recovery pace, and calmness on the ball, he has been a constant figure under both Julian Nagelsmann and Vincent Kompany. His consistent performances in the 2025/26 campaign have only reinforced Bayern’s stance that he remains untouchable, forming a solid partnership at the back alongside Kim Min-jae.

For now, it seems Upamecano is not going anywhere. Focused, composed, and content in Munich, he looks ready to continue anchoring Bayern’s defence for years to come.
