Samuel Chukwueze scored the decisive goal as AC Milan secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Udinese in Saturday’s Serie A clash at the San Siro.

Softfootball reported that the Nigerian winger produced a match-winning display to hand the Rossoneri all three points, ending his wait for a league goal this season with a composed early finish.

Chukwueze found the back of the net in the 13th minute after latching onto a well-worked attacking move to put the hosts ahead.

It was the Super Eagles star’s first Serie A goal of the current campaign and his first in the Italian top flight since scoring against Hellas Verona on March 17, 2024.

The 25-year-old remained a constant threat before making way for Fikayo Tomori with two minutes left on the clock.

His international teammate, Maduka Okoye, was between the sticks for Udinese but could do little to prevent Chukwueze’s early strike from proving decisive.

Despite playing with 10 men for much of the encounter, AC Milan held firm defensively to preserve their slender advantage and claim a valuable victory.

The Rossoneri will now turn their attention to an away trip against Bologna in their next Serie A fixture, while Udinese will look to bounce back when they host Cagliari next weekend.
