To be honest, Chelsea have been a very strange team this 2025/26 season. Softfootball has observed that they have won matches no one expected them to win, yet in games they are favourites, they either lose or drop points. That inconsistency has left supporters uncertain about what to expect.

However, the concerns of Chelsea fans appear valid. In recent seasons, Arsenal have been dominating the fixture. Between 2021 and 2026, Chelsea have not recorded a single win against Arsenal. The best result the Blues have managed has been a draw, but more often Arsenal have come out on top.

Heading into Sunday’s clash away from home, Chelsea are also coming off Carabao Cup semi-final defeats to the Gunners, losing 3:2 in the first leg and 1:0 in the second leg. Based on the recent trajectory and performances, many supporters believe their fears are justified as another difficult afternoon could be on the horizon.
